Can I rent a car without a driver?
Yes, rental without driver is possible under certain conditions, in particular the presentation of a valid passport or residence card and the payment of a deposit. Additionally, the tenant's passport will be kept in a safe place for the duration of the rental and returned at the end.
What documents do I need to provide to rent a car?
You must provide a valid passport or identity card and a driving license of at least 3 years old.
Is there an age restriction for renting a car?
Yes, the renter must be 21 years or older and have a valid driving license for at least 3 years.
What will happen if I want to drive outside of Conakry?
You will only be able to drive in areas that we allow. Exit from Conakry is possible for an additional fee. Please inquire with the rental agent.
Some cars are exclusively reserved for Conakry.
Can I use the rented vehicle to travel abroad?
AF Location Conakry vehicles are not authorized to leave the borders of Guinea. For any specific international travel requests, please contact us
Reservation and Deposit
How can I validate my reservation with AF Location Conakry?
To validate your reservation, you must pay a deposit, which constitutes a guarantee of your reservation. The amount of the deposit may vary depending on the type of vehicle chosen, the rental duration, and additional services requested. The balance is payable upon collection of the vehicle.
When do I have to pay the deposit to validate my reservation?
The deposit must be paid at the time of booking or within the deadlines agreed with AF Location Conakry. We recommend that you pay the deposit as early as possible to ensure availability of the desired vehicle or service. Once the deposit has been received, we will send you a booking confirmation by email or SMS.
What happens if I don't pay the deposit on time?
If the deposit is not received within the stipulated time, your reservation will not be validated. The vehicle or service you have reserved can then be allocated to another customer. It is essential to pay the deposit on time to secure your reservation.
What payment methods are accepted for the deposit?
You can pay the deposit in cash, by mobile payment, or any other means of payment accepted by AF Location Conakry.
What should I do if I don't receive confirmation after paying the deposit?
If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours of your payment, please contact us immediately to verify that your payment has been received and your reservation is confirmed.
Can I rent a car for a short time, like a day?
Yes, we offer rental options for a day, a week, or a month. You can choose the duration that best suits your needs
Do you offer special rates for long-term rentals?
Yes, we offer decreasing rates for long-term rentals. Contact us to discuss options and get a personalized quote
What should I do if the car I reserved is not available?
If the reserved vehicle is not available, we will offer you an alternative solution with a replacement vehicle. If this solution does not suit you, we will discuss refund options or other possible arrangements.
Cancellation and Modification
Can I change vehicles after starting my rental?
A change of vehicle is possible subject to availability, but change fees may apply. Contact us to discuss options.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up date.
For any cancellation made less than 72 hours before the scheduled date or in the event of a no-show, no refund will be made.
Is it possible to extend my rental once it has started?
Yes, it is possible to extend the duration of your rental. Please contact us at least 24 hours before the end of your rental contract to arrange the extension depending on availability.
Additional Services
What are the advantages of renting with a driver?
Rental with driver includes a driving service from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., without additional conditions. The driver knows the city and surrounding areas well, ensuring you have a safe and comfortable ride.
Can I add an additional driver to my rental?
Yes, you can add additional drivers for an additional fee. Additional drivers must meet the same eligibility criteria as the primary driver.
Do you offer baby seats or booster seats for children?
Yes, we offer baby seats and booster seats for children. Please request this when booking. Additional charges may apply.
Customer Service and Support
What should I do if the vehicle requires repair during rental?
If repair is necessary, contact our customer service immediately. Do not carry out any repairs without our authorization, except in cases of absolute emergency.
What to do in the event of a breakdown or accident during rental?
In the event of a mechanical problem or accident, immediately contact our 24/7 roadside assistance service. We will provide you with the necessary assistance and, if necessary, a replacement vehicle.
What happens if the vehicle is lost or stolen?
In the event of loss or theft, you must notify us immediately and contact the local authorities. An investigation will be conducted, and the terms of your rental agreement will apply.
Who is responsible for regular maintenance of the vehicle during the rental?
Renter is responsible for basic vehicle maintenance, such as refueling and checking oil levels. For major mechanical issues, please contact our support department.
